SEO & Traffic Action Plan

131 Digital will provide SEO considerations, social marketing and content coverage for one domain for various periods. The goal is to increase traffic to the domain by using best strategies for search engine placement and social networks to drive traffic. The strategy will be constantly changing and evolving but will involve the following basics:

Site  Structuring and META - We will try to make your site more SEO friendly by supplying relevant meta tag information, focusing the content for the audience, placing keywords strategically across the domain, supplying information for prominent images and web objects in an effort to enrich the usual information gathered by search spiders and other content analysis systems employed on the web.

Advertising – An effective method for drawing traffic is direct advertising. 131 Digital will configure ads for several sites (depending on site relevance, usually Ad-words and Facebook Ads) and work out rates, verbiage, conversion goals etc. Pricing for web ads will be above and beyond our base rate for this Action Plan.

Business Listings – we will submit your business to several mapping and search services (Google Places, Bing! Maps, etc). Not only will this make it easier for prospective local clients to find and contact you, it’ll also help legitimize your business and place you in heavily utilized business directories.

Automated Content distribution - If supported by your website platform (word-press, drupal, fusion, etc) we will utilize site feeds to propagate content from the domain to other sites and social networks. This will provide important back-linking to help increase your search ranking. This includes anything from automatically pinging sites when new content is added to submitting shopping cart changes to Google Product Search.

Results will vary depending on developers access to the domain, code and database of the site, and the ability to modify and customize the source data and materials. 131 Digital does not guarantee search engine placement or direct/organic search traffic. Many of our strategies are contingent on site platform abilities (RSS, XMLRPC, feed reading, Atom, Crontab, etc);  lack of support for some features and protocols will limit the effectiveness of this action plan.

An outspoken political conservative, Rev. Boetcker is perhaps best remembered for his authorship of a pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots that emphasizes freedom and responsibility of the individual on himself. Originally published in 1916, it is often misattributed to Abraham Lincoln. The error apparently stems from a leaflet printed in 1942 by a conservative political organization called the Committee for Constitutional Government. The leaflet bore the title “Lincoln on Limitations” and contained some genuine Lincoln quotations on one side and the “Ten Cannots” on the other, with the attributions switched. The genuine Lincoln quotations may have been from an address on March 21, 1864 in which Lincoln said “Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.”  The mistake of crediting Lincoln for “The Ten Cannots” has been repeated many times since, notably by Ronald Reagan in his address to the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston.

There are several minor variants of the pamphlet in circulation, but the most commonly accepted version appears below:

• You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
• You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
• You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
• You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
• You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
• You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
• You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
• You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
• You cannot build character and courage by destroying men’s initiative and independence.
• And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Boetcker also spoke of the “Seven National Crimes”:

• I don’t think.
• I don’t know.
• I don’t care.
• I am too busy.
• I leave well enough alone.
• I have no time to read and find out.
• I am not interested.
